The mission of the Singapore Ministry of Law (MinLaw) is to advance access to justice, the rule of law, the economy and society through policy, law and services.
MinLaw drives legal reforms, oversees the policy for development, promotion and regulation of Singapore’s legal sector, and advances Singapore’s national interests through international legal policy and cooperation.
In addition, MinLaw regulates moneylending and pawnbroking, licences law practices, registers foreign-qualified legal practitioners, supervises precious stones and metal dealers, and provides community legal services such as legal aid, community mediation, insolvency administration, and public trustee services.
MinLaw also oversees land policy and administration and the development of Singapore’s intellectual property sector, supported by its statutory boards.

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) was founded in 1952.The major responsibilities of the CCPIT include: implement relevant major national development strategies, and promote foreign trade, bilateral investment and economic & technological cooperation; carry forward cooperation with overseas trade promotion counterparts; receive overseas high-end trade and economic delegations; organize Chinese trade and economy delegations to visit foreign countries; manage overseas trade exhibitions organized by Chinese agencies, participate in affairs of Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) and World Expo on behalf of the Chinese government; hold or organize Chinese companies to attend trade and economic exhibitions, forums, fairs and other international conferences; represent domestic industry and commerce in the field of foreign trade, and involve into the formulation of trade and economic policies and rules, foreign trade negotiation and making of international commercial rules; carry out legal consulting, commercial conciliation, trade and maritime arbitration; sign and issue certificates of origin for export products and other certificates and documents related to foreign trade, provide intellectual property services such as patent application, trade mark registration, litigation and rights safeguarding; organize industries and enterprises to cope with trade disputes; provide trade and economic information, training services etc.
International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), a non-governmental international organization, was established on October 15, 2020. Supported and initiated by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, ICDPASO was set up by China Chamber of International Commerce, along with commercial associations, legal service agencies, universities and think tanks across the world. The purpose of ICDPASO is to provide international, professional and convenient public legal services for the global business community, promote a safer and law-based global business environment, and advance the construction of a fair and reasonable international economic order.
ICDPASO currently consists of 51 members including 35 located overseas, covering 96 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, South America. According to the Charter, the business scope of ICDPASO contains services of international commercial dispute prevention including risk pre-warning, legal identification, due diligence, compliance management and building, data analysis and application, etc.; Services of international commercial dispute settlement including mediation, arbitration, etc.; International legal personnel training, international conferences and high-end forums organizing, international exchanges and cooperation, policy research and journal editing, and other related services.
At present, ICDPASO has received great attention and support from international organizations including the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), etc.
